Department of commerce in our college is a leading centre of teaching and learning of commerce. It comprises approximate 150 students. At present the department has three well qualified and experienced faculty members. They contribute academically by doing research projects, writing books, attending and presenting papers in National and international seminars, conferences and workshops. The department has well equipped classrooms with LCD, seminar rooms, computer labs, smart classrooms, enriched library with books, journals, magazines, periodicals, newspapers, Government reports and surveys.
The Department organizes seminars and workshops sponsored by U.G.C and DGHE and extensions lectures by renowned academicians from time to time. Personality Development programmes and different competitions like “Quiz contest” Power point presentation and “Declamation contest” are also conducted over the years, The department has good results with distinctions.Special attention is given to weak students by taking extra classes. Our commerce graduates students are getting jobs in various fields like teaching, Banking, Insurance, Corporate houses etc.The Department of commerce has a bright future in our college.
