Established in 1983, The Department of English is as old as the college. The committed faculty members have an impressive academic record's, prescribed by the university of kurukshetra, requires students to read and reflect on several books in addition to the prescribed books. Dedicated to the intellectual curiosity, analytical dexterity and creative thinking of its students, the English department foster reading, writing and learning skills through presentation, Group Discussion and research in the form of assignments projects. Students are encouraged to enhance their knowledge through participation in different inter-departmental competitions such as Grammar quiz contest, Declamation, Poem, recitation competition and Slogan writing competition organized periodically by the department. The English Department offers exciting addition programming such as functional English and Personality Development course at certificate level, Diploma and Advance level. There is no better place to learn the art of communication. In addition to being a standalone major, English effectively complement many other discipline and serves as excellent preparation for further advances studies. Faculty members are actively involved in research, presenting  papers in national and international seminar and publishing in prestigious journals. Library provision for English subject at college level is exceptionally good. All students have access to the college library (with its extensive books collection ) with wide range of electronic resources along with well equipped language lab with updated modules.
